NGALMS

Terms of Use

Last updated 13 October 2026

What NGALMS is

NGALMS is a learning management system that colleges and schools use to run courses, attendance, assignments, results and notices. Your institution provides it to you. These terms apply to your use of the NGALMS website and mobile apps; your institution's own rules apply as well.

Your account

Your account is created by your institution, which decides what you can see and do and can suspend or remove it. Keep your password to yourself, do not share your account, and tell your institution if you think someone else has used it.

A parent or guardian account shows only the children the school has linked to it.

Using it properly

You agree not to:

  • use another person's account, or try to reach data that is not yours;
  • upload anything unlawful, abusive, or that you have no right to share;
  • cheat in a quiz or assessment, or help someone else to;
  • interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses, or scrape it;
  • use it for anything other than your institution's teaching and administration.

Messages, complaints, notes and files you post are visible to staff at your institution according to their role. Your institution moderates them and may remove them.

Your content and your records

Work you submit remains yours. You allow your institution, and us on its behalf, to store and show it as needed to teach and assess you. Marks, attendance and other academic records belong to your institution; ask it to correct anything that is wrong.

Privacy

How personal data is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy. To delete your account, see Account & Data Deletion.

Cost

The apps are free to download and there is nothing to buy inside them. Any charges are between your institution and us.

Availability

We work to keep NGALMS available and accurate, but it is provided as it is: it may be interrupted for maintenance or by faults outside our control, and information shown in it — a timetable, a mark, an attendance figure — is entered by your institution and may be changed by it. For anything that matters, your institution's official record is the one that counts.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will update the date above. Continuing to use NGALMS after a change means you accept the new terms.
